'Lalaland' sees 1300 torn between their Korean heritage and Western upbringing as they delve into the inner turmoil of their identities, delivering an authentic, unapologetic expression of their emotions.
Expanding on the sound of 'Lalaland' they add, “It’s hard, nasty, confusing, it’s very 1300. It’s inspired by old school tr808 drum machines like patterns, the big 808 behind it is what gives it a modern hip hop feel, electro and acid like sounds that felt appropriate”.
'Lalaland' was recorded when the guys were going stir-crazy, isolated in a cabin in the Blue Mountains and in just a few days they had written and recorded this new twisted offering that reflected the deranged, manic atmosphere of the trip.
